With the conclusion of the Japanese and Russian National Championships, the action flips to the American continent this week, where skaters have one last shot to prove themselves for the Olympic team! Here’s a guide on how to watch; more information will be added to this post as it appears.

The US National Championships will take place Dec. 29 - Jan. 7 in San Jose, CA. US Nationals is one of the competitions used to decide the Olympic, World, 4CC, and Junior World teams. Skaters who competed as juniors internationally can compete at US Nationals as seniors if they have passed the appropriate USFSA tests. US Nationals consists of five levels in total: juvenile, intermediate, novice, junior, and senior. This post will focus on the senior competitions. Unlike other competitions, the US Nationals podium has four spots: gold, silver, bronze, and pewter.
